Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection is a broad-spectrum third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a variety of serious bacterial infections. The key indications include:

Severe Respiratory Tract Infections

Ceftriaxone is used to treat severe respiratory infections such as community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP), bronchitis, and sinusitis, especially those caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

Ceftriaxone is indicated for the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs), including pyelonephritis, urosepsis, and cystitis, caused by organisms such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Enterococcus species.
