Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection

Ceftriaxone is used to treat severe respiratory infections such as community-acquired pneumonia (CAP), hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP), bronchitis, and sinusitis, especially those caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Ceftriaxone is indicated for the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs), including pyelonephritis, urosepsis, and cystitis, caused by organisms such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Enterococcus species.

Used to treat bacterial meningitis, particularly caused by Neisseria meningitidis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Haemophilus influenzae.

Ceftriaxone is used in the treatment of sepsis and bacteremia, particularly in critically ill patients, including those with Gram-negative infections, such as Pseudomonas species and Escherichia coli.

Used for severe skin and soft tissue infections, including cellulitis, abscesses, and wound infections, particularly when caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and other susceptible organisms.

Ceftriaxone is effective in the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), endometritis, and gynecological abscesses caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and other susceptible pathogens.

It is indicated for the treatment of osteomyelitis and septic arthritis caused by susceptible organisms, including Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus species.

Ceftriaxone is used prophylactically in surgeries such as colorectal, gynecological, and orthopedic surgeries, to prevent infections by aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
