Imipenem Cilastatin for Injection

Used for intra-abdominal infections such as peritonitis, appendicitis, and cholecystitis, particularly when caused by a diverse range of bacterial pathogens, including multi-drug-resistant strains.

Effective in treating severe respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia (both community-acquired and hospital-acquired), lung abscesses, bronchitis, and sinusitis, particularly when caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Haemophilus influenzae.

Indicated for the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis, cystitis, and urosepsis, particularly those caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter species, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Imipenem-Cilastatin is commonly used in the management of sepsis and bacteremia, especially in cases involving Pseudomonas species, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus.

Recommended for the treatment of bacterial meningitis, particularly when caused by susceptible organisms such as Neisseria meningitidis and Streptococcus pneumoniae, especially in cases where other antibiotics may be ineffective due to resistance.

Used for treating serious skin and soft tissue infections, including cellulitis, abscesses, and wound infections, especially when caused by drug-resistant pathogens like Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Indicated for the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), endometritis, and gynecological abscesses, including those caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and other susceptible bacteria.

Used in the treatment of osteomyelitis and septic arthritis, particularly when caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus species, and other susceptible organisms.
