Imipenem-Cilastatin Sodium for Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination used to treat severe bacterial infections. The key indications include:

Severe Intra-abdominal Infections

Used for intra-abdominal infections such as peritonitis, appendicitis, and cholecystitis, particularly when caused by a diverse range of bacterial pathogens, including multi-drug-resistant strains.

Respiratory Tract Infections

Effective in treating severe respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia (both community-acquired and hospital-acquired), lung abscesses, bronchitis, and sinusitis, particularly when caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Haemophilus influenzae.

Complicated Urinary Tract Infections (cUTIs)
